Applications for fall grants are now available from the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio’s Community Fund grant round! Each Community Fund is partnering with FAO’s I’m a Child of Appalachia® Fund to award at least $10,000 in grants to projects or programs that increase quality of life, create access to opportunities, or implement a solution to a need.
Community Fund grants are available in Perry, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Monroe, and Morgan counties; the City of Nelsonville area; and for African American communities in Appalachian Ohio.
Community Funds will accept applications from local nonprofit and public organizations to support work across FAO’s Pillars of Prosperity. These areas include Education, Environmental Stewardship, Health & Human Services, Community & Economic Development, and Arts & Culture, combined together to create FAO’s Pillars of Prosperity. Each Pillar represents an essential building block of the quality of life in Appalachian Ohio.
